As the 2023 season comes to a close, we’re prepping for another S’Ender Weekend!
Closing Weekend has long been a time for the Highland Family to gather and celebrate seven months of hitting the trails together. Sometimes freezing, sometimes muddy, sometimes snowy—through it all, we’re here to have a good time.
Join us this year for late-season laps, activities, family dinner, camaraderie, and more!

CLOSING WEEKEND ACTIVITIES
HIGHLAND TRIVIA (Mon-Sun): Follow @highland_mtn on Instagram in the week leading up to closing, and keep watch on our stories for Highland Trivia! We’ll be posting three questions each day, increasing in difficulty. The first person to submit the correct answer will win a sticker pack, a free pizza, OR a free day pass!
HIGHLAND FAMILY DINNER (Sat): Stick around at the Pub on Saturday night to hang out by the fire and enjoy one last night with your Highland Family before we all head out into the snow for the winter. Kettlehead Brewing will be onsite with samples from 3pm to 5pm. The Pub will be bringing back favorite special items from throughout the season (including pulled pork tacos and fried oreos!), and we’ll keep the energy high all night long.
SCAVENGER HUNTS (Sat-Sun): Be on the lookout for wooden discs with the Highland logo, hidden around the mountain on both Saturday and Sunday! Find one and return it to the Welcome Center for a free day pass.
You’ll see some other games and activities pop up in the backyard throughout the weekend—don’t ever hesitate to jump into some fun!
WINGS FOR LIFE
For many years now, Highland has used the Saturday of S’Ender weekend as an opportunity to raise funds for spinal cord research at Wings For Life. This year, you can support the cause all weekend long while also entering to win cool prizes!
RAFFLE (Thu-Sun): This year’s Wings For Life raffle will be open Thursday through Sunday of closing weekend. Get raffle tickets and view the raffle items on display in the Welcome Center, Thursday through Sunday. Prizes will include a 2024 All-Access Season Pass, Highland swag, photo prints, and more!
Raffle tickets will be available in bundles of 10 for $10. All proceeds from raffle tickets will be donated to Wings for Life. Winners will be drawn Sunday afternoon–you do not need to be present to win.
In addition to the raffle proceeds, we’ll also be making a donation via our Wednesday for Wings initiative: for every pass sold on a Wednesday during the 2023 season, Highland will donate $1 to Wings for Life
