Highland will open for the 2023 season on Thursday, April 27th! (April 26th for Season Pass Holders.) Here’s what’s going on at the mountain this month as we prepare:
The crew has been out in full force getting trails dialed in for Opening Day. Keep an eye on our social channels and website for official trail announcements in the days leading up to opening. (Pictured above: Cat Scratch Fever. Photo taken Friday.)
The last week witnessed the demise of the last bit of snow that had been lingering on the mountain. Two back-to-back 80-degree days made short work of the leftover white stuff, and Trail Crew reports that all of the melt drained well and the dirt has been in great shape.
Over in Central Park, the railing is being installed along the sides of the surface lift. Trail Crew also recently finished constructing the wooden kickers that will feature on Central Park’s double-black trails.
The official opening date for Central Park still hasn’t been set, but we’re stoked for y’all to be able to check out all of these new trails and features this season.
In addition to trail work and Central Park construction, the team has also been busy building a new wood shop for the Trail Crew and prepping the lift for another season.
Only one week until the Highland Family is back on the trails! We’ll see you soon.
We want to thank the many members of our Highland family who help to spread the love and keep the stoke alive. This season, any existing Highland rider who refers a brand-new customer to the Find Your Ride program will earn a free day pass! Learn more here.
