While the trails just keep getting buried with more and more snow, it doesn’t seem to be scaring away potential campers! While all of our sessions still have space, day camp for Ayr Academy seems to be a hot item this year.
Just 2 spots remain in Ayr day camp for sessions 6 and 7, as well as Summer Ride Overnight in session 4!

Meet the team
While we are continuing to hire Coaches and Counselors, there are already some familiar faces you can expect to see this year. Dave, Sam and Kevin will continue to oversee camp operations, residential activities and riding activities respectively.
For those of you who have attended camp before – you will have met our Coordinator, Kaela. She has been a key player in the systems that make camp work so well. Unfortunately (for us) Kaela will not be returning for 2025. She will be leaving Highland to expand her work as a hair stylist, a goal she has been working towards for quite some time. We would like to wish her luck, and thank her for all the time and effort she has put into making camp what it is today.
We have already hired an excellent candidate to fill this role. Those of you who have visited our Welcome Center to sign waivers or get day passes may recognize Kaleigh when she greets you at the check-in tent this summer!

We just wrapped up week 2 of our #GuessTheHighlandTrail contest. Have you been participating? We have 4 more weeks to go while we ride out the predicted remainder of winter. Week 2 featured the “Toilet Bowl” feature on Lower Threshold. But based on a recent Instagram poll, people seem to mostly agree that we have been going too easy on you.
We will post a photo on Facebook and Instagram each Friday at 6pm EST. The first comment to correctly identify the trail and feature will win a Highland sticker pack. So make sure to tune in and be ready for a challenge!
Congratulations are in order
We’d like to congratulate Kaidan Ingersoll on starting 2025 strong with a gold in Men’s Slopestyle at the Crankworx Summer Series in Christchurch, New Zealand! Kaidan is joining us for Session 1 as a Guest Pro Coach. You can see him compete again soon in the 2025 Crankworx World Tour at Rotorua, his first Diamond level event. Highland’s Bike Shop is selling refurbished bikes on our Pinkbike page. If you are on the hunt for something capable of keeping up at camp, it’s safe to say that these are up to the task. A variety of sizes are available for Rocky Mountain, Jamis and Santa Cruz models. Check them out!
