If your rider has spent time at Highland Mountain Camps, you may already know Tilton School — just a few minutes down the road from the mountain.
We’re excited to share a new partnership that extends the Highland experience beyond the summer.
Tilton School is launching a Downhill Mountain Bike Team, giving motivated high school student-athletes (Grades 9–12/PG) the opportunity to pursue a strong academic education while training consistently with our expert coaches at Highland throughout the school year.
This program is designed for riders who are ready for more than weekend riding or seasonal camps — students who want structure, progression, and a community that supports both their athletic and academic goals. This unique experience is a truly rider-centric pathway that integrates downhill mountain biking into the rhythm of the school week.
At Tilton School, student-athletes will:
- Ride more — Follow a flexible academic schedule that allows for regular training, additional riding time, and the ability to travel and compete
- Learn more — Take on rigorous academics within a supportive boarding school environment
- Grow more — Build on the skills and confidence developed at summer camp through year-round coaching and a tight-knit riding culture
For families who have seen their rider thrive at Highland Camps, this program represents a natural next step — a chance to keep progressing on the bike while growing as a student and individual within an intentional, structured community.
