Hellion is Highland’s longest trail and arguably the most fun on the mountain. Clocking in at just over a mile long, it consist of berms, table tops, step ups, drops, rollers and more. Riders qualified individually and then the fastest qualifiers were put into brackets of six and battled it out head to head with the fastest 3 riders advancing. In the big final it was Phillip Kmetz who took the win for the men and Dawn Bourque for the women.

Think you got what it takes? We’ll soon see. Sunday June 26th marks the first annual battle of Hellion Race. Hellion is Highland’s longest trail and arguably the most fun on the mountain. Clocking in at just over a mile long, it consist of berms, table tops, step ups, drops, rollers and more, stake your claim and win the coveted Shield.
Format
Pro/Open
Individual start qualifying, all registered riders race down Hellion. The top 12 fastest times get put into 6 rider brackets to battle it out for glory. The top 3 of each heat in the semi-finals will advance to the final.
Amateur
Amateurs take one timed run down Hellion to determine results.
Travel
Athletes competing in the Battle of Hellion should begin practice Friday June 24th
- Arriving by air travel can fly into Manchester New Hampshire Airport (MHT), a 40 minute drive to Highland or Boston Logan Airport (BOS), a 1.5 hrs drive to Highland.
