School’s out for the summer, which means it’s time to focus on bikes. Is there a technique you’ve been struggling to master? A trail or feature you’ve vowed to cross off your bucket list this season? Did you just pull your bike out of the basement for the first time in years, and now you need a hand brushing off the cobwebs? We’re here to help.

Highland Training has a variety of programs available for riders of all ages and ability levels. If you love to ride, we can help you to do it better! Keep reading for an overview of everything we’re offering this season, from the classic introductory Find Your Ride to our brand-new advanced Progression Sessions.

If you’ve ridden at Highland in the last ten years, odds are you’ve heard of our Find Your Ride program. The Find Your Ride is an all-inclusive package catering to anyone who is new to lift-accessed mountain biking. We’ll set you up with everything you need for a great day on the hill: a full-day lift pass, full-day bike and safety gear rental, and one-hour Park Ready session finishing with a guided run down Freedom Trail. If you or someone you know has always wanted to try downhill but didn’t know where to start, we’ll tell you: start here!

Pricing: $139

Kids are never too young to hit the trails, and we’ll help them get the hang of it with this custom program catering to the littlest of shredders. Our one-day Kids Camp program helps young riders build their confidence by introducing and reinforcing fundamental skills, setting them up for a lifetime of fun on two wheels.

Ages: 6-10 (half day) and 11-14 (full day)
Ability Levels: Beginner to Intermediate

Do you have a specific skill or technique you’ve been itching to master? We can set you up with a one-on-one coaching session catered to your personal experience and goals. Private and semi-private lessons with select Highland Training staff are available every day of the week. NEW FOR 2020: The Progression Session program is designed for advanced riders seeking individualized coaching attention in a supportive, small-group environment. Groups meet weekly over four weeks for three-hour sessions, combining professional instruction and guided freeride. Curriculum will cater to rider goals and incorporate video analysis when appropriate.

Ages: 13-17 and 18+
Ability Levels: Advanced Intermediate to Expert
Dates: Jul 22, Jul 29, Aug 5 & Aug 12 or Jul 26, Aug 2, Aug 9 & Aug 16
Pricing: $399

The “adult” version of our Ayr Academy summer camp, this three-day program will take your riding to the next level with the attention of Highland’s professional coaching staff and guest pro athletes. Adult Ayr Academy topics include advanced cornering techniques, wheel lifts, jumps, and drops. If you want to learn how to hit some of Highland’s signature features, we will focus on the skill set needed to conquer them!

Ability Levels: Intermediate to Advanced
Dates: July 17-19; August 21-23; September 18-20

The Women’s Freeride Festival brings together female riders of all disciplines and ability levels for an epic weekend on the trails. In addition to discounted day passes, rentals, and Find Your Ride packages, we offer specialized clinics covering bike park fundamentals, jumps, drops, and advanced cornering. Connect with other lady shredders and become a part of the Women’s Freeride Movement!

Due to COVID-19, all group training programs are organized into small groups with a maximum of ten riders. Masks are worn inside all buildings and whenever six feet of social distancing cannot be maintained. For a full rundown of our operational changes this year, click here.
