DESCRIPTION:Join us for a day packed full of Halloween festivities\, including a Hellion race\, scavenger hunt\, and mountain-wide costume contest.\n \nAll racers will get two timed runs on Hellion. Your faster time will count toward your overall standing. Costumes are not required\, but they are strongly encouraged.\n \nPrizing will be awarded to the top three male finishers and top three female finishers. Prizes will also be awarded to the three best costumes we see on the mountain all day\, as judged by our staff.\nHave fun\, get rowdy\, and help us raise some money for our friends at Wings for Life!\n \nREGISTRATION\n \nRace registration is $25.\nRegister online here\nRace registration DOES NOT INCLUDE your lift pass for the day.\nIf you are not a season pass holder\, you MUST purchase a day pass for 10/31 separately.\nRegistration is limited and first-come\, first-serve.\nAll proceeds from registration will be donated to Wings for Life.

DESCRIPTION:The Friday Night Race Series has upgraded from aluminum to carbon for the 2020 season! We have a brand new chip timing system this year which–after an excellent trial run at the Winter Woolly–has given us the perfect opportunity to restructure and expand the series. \n The new structure is focused on inclusiveness and competitive opportunity for all categories of riders. You and your friends will team up to compete in a 7-week race series. There is maximum of five riders on each team. Don’t have a team of your own? You can choose to run solo\, or we can match you up with available spots on another team. \n Each week\, you’ll get one timed run on a rotating group of trails. You will collect points based on finish order in your division. The top three point earners on your team will be combined to determine your team’s standing. Teams will be ranked highest to lowest by points in the fight for the ultimate prize at the end of the series: some truly sweet trophies and a year’s supply of bragging rights. \n If you or a member of your team has to miss a week\, don’t panic. Each team will have only the scores from their five best weeks count toward the championship. Each team’s two lowest-scoring weeks will be dropped. \nMore race nights. More rider categories. Team standings\, quicker results\, and more giveaways making the series fun for even more riders. Stick around and join us for live music\, beer tastings\, food and fun in the pub following the race each week. Each rider\, win or lose\, will have a chance to win prizes in free weekly raffles supported by different sponsors throughout the series. \nLet us know on our Facebook page if you’ll be racing with us this year!

DESCRIPTION:“Then and Now” Winter Carnival\nJoin us for a day of non-lift-accessed fat biking and family activities around the base area.  \nSchedule \n\nMountain opens for non-lift-accessed uphill travel $10–8:00am\nHighland Pub opens — 11:00am\nIce skating\, sledding\, bonfire — 11:00am\nHot Chocolate Bar opens — 2:00pm\nLive music with Don Bartenstein — 2:00pm-4:00pm\nVintage Highland Ski Area slideshow and Highland Team Trivia — 5:00pm\nBeer Tasting featuring Berkshire Brewing Company– 7:00pm-9:00pm\nLive music with The Cableguys– 7:00pm-10:00pm\n\nDuring the day\, we’ll have winter activities for the whole family. Go sledding in the slopestyle area or ice skating on the beaver pond. Our cross country and downhill trails will be open for non-lift-access biking (weather permitting) and hiking/snowshoeing. The downhill trails will be accessible via Freedom Trail from 8:00am to 3:00pm.  \nThe Highland Pub will be open at 11:00am. \nWarm up by the bonfire or with a treat from our hot chocolate bar\, open from 2:00pm-5:00pm. At 5:00pm\, there will be a slideshow of vintage Highland’s Ski Area photos and Highland Team Trivia. After dark\, the Highland Pub will stay open and have live music from 7:00pm-10:00pm.
