The Claymore Challenge is back again July16th-19th 2009 with big plans. The format for this year is a Pro Invitational Slopestyle Contest being held on July 18th 2009 at Highland Mountain Bike Park Northfield, NH. The Claymore Challenge creates a stage for the best athletes in mountain biking to come to one event and compete for the top honors in the United States. The only event of its kind, this is one of the few opportunities fans in the United States have to experience first hand the talent their favorite riders possess.

IZSTYLE & THE REVERB ECO VILLAGE
IZSTYLE is a community based web site founded by Stefan Lessard, bass player for Dave Matthews Band. The project is built around music, sports, art, core culture and the environment.
The Reverb Eco Village was created in 2005 through a partnership between IZSTYLE and the environmental non-profit group Reverb. The village includes local, regional and national environmental non-profit groups along side alternative energy and transportation exhibits. It also highlights all natural/organic food sampling and outdoor adventure sports equipment demos with brands such as Anheuser-Busch, Stonyfield Farm, Honest Tea, SIGG and Specialized. Qualifying for non-invited riders
There are two chances to qualify for the Claymore Challenge if you don’t already have an official invite. The first chance is at the Highland Am/Open Slopestyle on June 27th. The top 3 riders in the open class will receive invites to the Claymore Challenge on July 18th at Highland. The second opportunity will be July 17th, the Last Chance Qualifier the day before the Claymore Challenge. The Last Chance Qualifier will be one open class. Riders who sign up will take two full runs and their best run will be scored. The top 3 riders will be invited into the Claymore Challenge.
Format:
Practice – There will be open practice on the course all day Thursday July 16th and Friday morning before the last chance qualifier. There will be one last practice session Saturday morning July 18th before the Claymore Challenge starts.
Last Chance Qualifyer – Friday July 17th we be the last chance for non-invite riders to get an invite to the Claymore Challenge. The format for the last chance qualifier will be best run of two, only 50 riders can register and take runs to try and qualify. Registration for last chance qualifier is on a first come, first served basis. The top 3 riders will receive a spot in the Claymore.
Pro Qualifying Jam - 3hr or 4hr scheduled jam where riders will take full course runs one at a time during the jam time. Riders can take as many or few runs as they choose, just wait in line and shred.
Pro Finals - The Finals will consist of the top 10 scores from the qualifying jam session. Those 10 riders will take two full course runs in reverse order of qualifying score. The best run of the two will count toward the final.
