Dennis and Tom have not slowed down since season’s end, they’re rebuilding the run down garage just before you enter the parking lot. This garage will improve our trail crew organization and machine maintenance area and ultimately leaving more time for trail construction. 2012 is going to be big.

Bone Saw! (new trail picture update)

Yesterday I got to spend the majority of my day with trail crew helping build yet another new trail! Bone Saw is going to be the newest addition to the highland mountain trail family. It is an expert trail that will have a little of every type of riding in it! With two large drops, a few jumps and other features this trail is already shaping up to be possibly our raddest trail yet! I spent the day snapping pictures of what has been done so far so sit back and enjoy! -Dylan

As the fall season approaches with all the World Cup Races, freeride contest and summer camps coming to a close lies the best time of the year to ride. I my mind there is no better time of year to ride at Highland Mountain, the temperature is perfect and the dirt stays tacky all day long. A couple weeks ago Tyler McCaul and Marc Beaumont flew out a few days early for the OverMountain Enduro Race to enjoy the ultimate riding season. -Dave Smutok

Highland Mountain and Cannondale Host the OverMountain Enduro Race, the first-ever European enduro-format race in North America

“Highland Mountain Bike Park made history on October 22nd, hosting the first-ever North American OverMountain Enduro Race of its kind. The event was comprised of three distinct sections or “specials”, theevent favored a balanced rider; one with a capacity for both excellent downhill handling skills and the fitness and finesse of cross-country racing…all on one bike.”

“This race shows not only the impressive growth and evolution of Mountain Biking, but also the incredible commitment of Highland Mountain to this sport,” said Johannes Huseby, Cannondale Global Director of Mountain Bike Products. “The format was unique and challenging and brought out riders of all backgrounds and abilities…Downhillers, Cross Country Racers and everyone in-between.”

The gravity east race went great despite the weather. The sun came out on sunday and the race was on. In the end Trek World Racing’s Neko Mulally took the win with Rob Fraiser in Second, Sidney Slotegraaf in Third and, Philip Kmetz in Fourth.
