What is an OverMountain Enduro Race at Highland Mountain? This question has caused many sleepless nights trying to develop a gravity enduro race that best utilizes the various terrain we can offer. With the help of Cannondale’s professional athletes sharing their enduro race experience around the world and the Highland trail crew’s knowledge of the topography we have refined a format and course to more accurately depict what an OverMountain Enduro Race at Highland is.

Format
The race will be made up of 3 timed “Specials” which will be added into one combined time. Athletes will have start times for each Special and once a Special is complete riders will have a extended time limit to make their way to the next stage.
•The race starts at the top of the mountain with racers riding down Special 1.
•From the bottom of Special 1, racers pedal to the start of Special 2; this in between portion is an un-timed climbing segment.
•Racers ride down Special 2.
•At the end of Special 2, racers can compete in the optional Climber’s Prime*, or simply climb to the start of Special 3.
•Racers ride down the final segment, Special 3.
*Climber’s Prime* Cash Bonus
Riders who want to race to the summit can continue racing through the finish of the 2nd Special and to the summit. The fastest rider from the start of 2nd Special to the summit will win the climber’s prime.
All Specials must be completed using the same bike.
Results will be based on the 3 Special’s times combined.
